Long long can I go in the wilderness with these supplies? 04 january 200725 February 2010
I’ll be northeren Montana & Idaho border area. I have 8 weeks vacation built up…I leave next week!
I have an excellent 5 year old qtr horse, 16 hands 1250lbs in excellent condition and has lot’s of trail, experience. I have a 11 year old mule that’s fantastic. My horse can carry myself and 200 llbs of supplies, the mule can carry 450 very easily. The mule must carry 130lbs of grain for himself & horse, together they will eat 5-6lbs per day plus grassing. We will take little water due to the natural water around us. My small tent & cooking gear weigh 7 lbs. I plan to do some fishing that will help with meals. I have every thing in dry form, eggs, milk, pancakes, beef jerky etc.
How long do you estimate I can go for?
ps…..should I come back?
